INVESTIGATIONS

COURTHOUSE: Careful, methodical research techniques.

LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT:

Customized searches.

AGENCY'S RESEARCH:

Leads generated and evidence documented.  Hand search of Florida state agency indices.

Associates in major cities where Federal record archives for military, civil / criminal, and bankruptcy records are warehoused.

DATABASE SEARCHES: Highly experienced researchers available 24-hours per day.  We subscribe to several national databases with  links to local, state, and federal record sources.  Cost effective.

REPORTS:

Very useful documents according to our clients.  Easy to read, use, and copy.  Documents clearly referenced into report exhibits.  Indexing for large cases.  Special computer programs for management of large cases.

Here is what one of our clients said about our reports (and this is very typical):

"I like your reports because they are well received by our clients" - a Tallahassee attorney.

PROCESS SERVICE:

Standard and difficult to serve.

Last year we were asked to serve the second ranking officer in a major national corporation. Others had failed. He was on an upper floor of a 50-60 story building and well insulated by a receptionist, secretaries, and security. Our associated had him pulled out of a big meeting to receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a message, which she sang to him, and our client's subpoena! Our client was ecstatic!

HIGHLIGHTS

In addition to the above, two of our most rewarding Family Law investigations involved recovering a little boy and a little girl for the fathers and paternal grandparents after the children were taken in violation of court orders by their mothers. In both cases, they only had sketchy information that the children and their mothers were in the Jacksonville area. Through exhaustive records searches, surveillance, other specialized investigative techniques, and close cooperation with the fathers' local attorneys as well as local law enforcement, we recovered both of the children unharmed and had them on airplanes the following day to return to their homes.

CRIMINAL DEFENSE:

Appeals

I recently spoke to a criminal defense investigator in Chicago who had been in this field for thirty years. He said that when he started, only about 10% of those arrested were innocent of the crimes for which they were charged. Today, however, he claimed that nearly 40% of all of those arrested are not guilty of the charges against them. This is why criminal defense work can be so satisfying.
